A miscellany of small details—Last photos taken on Unst, Shetland

Today is our last full day on Unst and Susanna and I decided to spend it gently walking a circle around the cottage where we are staying. In such a landscape as this it is, perhaps, inevitable that at the beginning of a visit one tends to look at and seek only the "big" views but, on this quiet walk, after nearly two weeks on the island, we spent way more time than before considering the many, smaller scale beautiful details of the place. Here are just a few of the pictures I took today which reflected this change of perspective.
