Great choice of image, with engaging strata of colour! As an i-Phone only photographer - and aware of your more sophisticated approach, I’m wondering if you chose to enhance the burnished reds of the winter plants, or did they speak for themselves largely?
Greetings. Glad you liked the photo. Well, it's straight out of camera (i.e. with no post-processing) and the Astia JPEG film simulation I prefer is described by Fujifilm as delivering:

“. . . vibrant colors with extra saturation but with soft contrast, making this a good choice for fashion, interiors, and even portraits. The original FUJICHROME ASTIA boasted the softest tonal reproduction in its class and was able to reproduce the most delicate of details."

I never shot Astia film myself back in the day (I used mostly Kodak Gold) but I always liked its natural colours, and this digital version certainly reproduces natural colours pretty well. When you are next in front of the church looking into Christ's Pieces I think you'll see that.

I trust the journey back from NZ goes well.

All the best,

Andrew
