A sunny, spring spin to Fen Ditton on my 1951 Hercules Kestral

I love your choice of color and exposure on these photos, Andrew. Also, is this near your neighborhood? Looks very walkable.
Dear Vince, thanks. On certain occasions I like using the Classic Chrome JPEG settings on Fuji cameras because of its slight desaturation and the way it renders the blues. It suited the "vintage" vibe I was feeling as I rode a 74 year old bicycle. Silly really . . . As to exposure, that's a bit more tricky and eccentric for two reasons. The ISO was set at 8000, and the shutter speed was at 1/250s. I was shooting using a manual lens, and I think I was shooting mostly between f5.6 and f8. But I use an ND filter to allow me to keep the ISO up fairly high because I like what that does to the quality of the JPEG. So it's not easy to say how you'd get exactly (or near enough) that same look on another camera.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I certainly enjoyed taking them.

Warmest wishes, as always,

A
PS. Yes, it is local, and I can, and sometimes do, walk there as well. Just look up "Ditton Meadows" and you'll find various pages about this spot. A
