This is the only photo I still have from my earliest days learning how to take photos during the late 1970s and early 80s. I found it late last year whilst having a massive clear out in my study. I recall that I took it as part of a school project, and I was able to use the school darkroom to develop it myself. The camera I used, a Voigtländer Vitomatic IIa (photo below), was given to me by my dad when he splashed out and bought himself a Pentax Spotmatic and a couple of prime lenses, an SMC Takumar 135mm f3.5 and a SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4. I still have all these cameras and lenses, and although I don’t shoot film any more, I continue to use my dad’s old lenses on my Fujifilm X-T2.
