Wednesday Photo: Lovingly tending Newton’s apple tree in front of Trinty College, Cambridge

On Tuesday morning I went on a very slow wander around Cambridge and, as I passed the front of Trinity College, I saw one of the gardeners lovingly tending Newton’s apple tree, the “Flower of Kent” tree originally grafted from that which grows at Newton’s childhood home of Woolsthorpe Manor, Lincolnshire. The light was lovely as was the care of the gardener . . .
